What
The After School ESL Course has been designed to meet the needs of students who have English Language deficiencies and whom are already enrolled within Sri Utama.
This programme has a strong academic focus, however will use social contexts to enhance the students understanding.
Why
The programme has been designed to provide UIS and SSU students the chance to improve their English language skills across all competencies (Writing, Reading, Listening, and Speaking). The programme will operate outside of standard school hours, allowing students to participate in the mainstream curriculum and not be disadvantaged by being removed from mainstream classes.

Objectives
- Improve students understanding of class content that is delivered in English
- Improve academic results
- Bringing ESL students up to an acceptable standard of English in all competencies

The course operates in 3 month blocks throughout the school year, except over school holidays and public holidays.
