After approximately a month of intensive practice, warm-ups and vocal exercises, the day we've been waiting for finally arrived. On the 9th of July 2009, Sri Utama's choir group was among the four schools competing for the inter-school championship. Our group performed a medley of 'Enjit-enjit Semut', 'Jalur Gemilang', and 'Ulek Mayang', ac-companied by Mr. Tan, the pianist. The school choir members all wore the Jalur Gemilang-inspired ensembles and were dressed to boot. After all the schools had performed, it was time for the judges to decide which choir group will go to the finals. Although our group did not make it to the finals, it was an unforgettable and amazing experience for all of us.
