On the 12th of June 2010, Sri Utama International Schools hosted their annual concert at a fresh venue – HGH Convention Centre. The theme for this year’s concert was “Utama Musical”, a theme whereby students could showcase their hidden talents.

The procession of the VIP’s was followed by an introduction of the main cast. After much suspense, the concert began at 11.30 a.m. The main casts depicted their roles very well and were very nonchalant on the stage. The various dances captivated the audience with their outstanding choreography and spectrum-like costumes. However, the main cast stole the limelight on stage by singing some of the top rated songs! All good things have to come to an end and so did the concert. Prizes were awarded to the best actor and actress by Encik Hassan for their mind blowing performance and the titles for the best dances were taken home by the Challenging Dance and the Malaysian Dance from the Secondary and Primary Schools respectively. The gruelling effort put into the concert had paid off following a standing ovation from the audience.

From my perspective, this year’s concert was a true triumph simply because of the jubilation and satisfaction it gave to both the teachers and students.
