On 24th of June, 2010, about 190 student accompanied by a group of teachers of Sri Utama Schools visited the Selangor Cultural Cove, located next to the famous Batu Caves. It was a first time for everyone, the locals as well as the non locals, to encounter a whole new experience and to discover the wonders of our Malaysian culture. It was a mere half an hour drive from our school and upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff members and were given gloves and aprons to make our very own DIY chocolate! Putting melted chocolate into the mould is not as easy as it sounds. It was surely a messy job but we enjoyed it! Of course, we could take the chocolate we had made to our homes. Later, everyone was served wits a mouth-watering authentic Malaysian dish. We were then entertained by some captivating Malaysian Cultural Dance performances which included a combination of traditional Malay, Indian and tribal dances from Sabah and Sarawak. After the performance which lasted for 30 minutes, we departed to the Muzium Orang Asli, located not far from the Culture Cove. It was truly a wonderful experience!
